I've always love baking and attention to detail ever since I was a little girl. My great grandma was my inspiration, she showed me the ropes, along with lots of tips on baking the perfect cakes and biscuits!  I grew up baking and creating lots of cakes and perfecting different recipes to suit my families tastes.

I had a Saturday job in a bakery and loved every minute of it and when I left school I started training to be a chef at Leigh college, but always loved the patisserie side best. 

A few years later I met Andrew,  got married and had two wonderful children, and every birthday I would make them all a birthday cake with whatever theme they were into at that time.

I have two grandchildren now who also love baking, so now I can pass down my tips to make their baking better.

It was when my son and daughter-in-law got married in May, that Village Kitchen Creations was started. They asked me to decorate their three tier wedding cake, and I loved the process so much, especially making all the beautiful sugar flowers on it, everyone complemented me on it and asked why don't you do this for a living ?

I decided to get the ball rolling and opened VKC in November 2014. I enrolled myself on lots of decorating courses to improve my skills and continue to keep up with the latest trends and techniques of this fascinating and constantly developing art.

In my spare time I love to do gardening, fell walking and reading.
